Temple of the Ap. Peter and Paul at the Yauza Gates - representation of the Serbian Orthodox Church. One of the fifteen autocephalous Orthodox Churches of the world. In this temple there is a rare icon "The Beheading of John the Baptist". With a brass hoop attached to it.
Ivanovo Monastery - in the center of the monastery is the monumental cathedral of the Beheading of John the Baptist, in which is the icon of John the Baptist in 1550. The list of the miraculous icon with a hoop is in the chapel of John the Baptist. The hoop is attached to the image by a copper chain. According to popular beliefs, the hoop removes the headache and helps prepare for confession.
The Church of the Nativity of John on Varvarka is a rare example of a modest church in the city of China. The first church in this place is mentioned in 1619 and in 1625. Church of the Nativity of John the Baptist with the Clement Chapel (the relics of St. Clement - the first relics of Kievan Rus 988) was built in 1741 by the factory owner FS Podseval'shchikov on the site of an older stone church.
The Church of the Beheading of the Head of John in Chernigov Lane. The first chronicle mentions of Moscow date back to 1147, and it was in this year that Yury Dolgoruky laid the temple of John the Baptist 100 meters from Borovitsky Hill and 100 meters from Moscow. After 100 years the temple was moved to the place "that under the birch" on the other side of the river. Krutitsy - in the Small Assumption Cathedral of Krutitskoy metochion there is a rare icon "Honest Head of St. John the Forerunner". In difficult times for the Russian state, the Small Assumption Cathedral was the main cathedral of Moscow.
