The route along the Soviet avant-garde from Kitai Gorod
through Maroseyka Pokrovka and down to the Yauza will begin with a story about the work of the architect Dushkin.Red center
In the 1920s and 1930s, housing was built not only on the outskirts. But also in the very center. That were the houses for the Soviet elite, and for ordinary students. Many residents of the city joined themselves in cooperatives and built their own homes. It is the housing aspects of architecture of the 1920s and 1930s in the city center that our further walk is devoted to, although the route will pass by some of the largest public buildings.
